In addition to formal study, it is important to expose children to language creatively. These unique workshops provide teachers with tools to improve pupils' self-confidence, fluency and enjoyment of English. Below are samples of workshops that I've presented in the past. Additional workshops can be created and tailored to meet your needs.
English is Fun with Songs and Games (content varies)
In this workshop teachers become pupils. We will learn simple songs, games and activities that will get children speaking and make English lessons fun.

Raid the Playroom
If you have children in the house, you probably have a lot of props that can be used to make your lessons more interesting. We will play games and sings songs using everyday objects to teach vocabulary in a way that children will enjoy and remember.
Rap up your Lessons
Rhythm is contagious. Setting your lessons to a catchy rhythm improves pronunciation, makes language chunks easier to remember and most important, kids love it! Let your pupils become "rappers" and see how the whole class becomes involved in the lesson.

Using Songs as Text
Songs are an excellent way to reinforce vocabulary and grammar, and are more interesting and easier to remember than standard text. I'll demonstrate how even a musically challenged English teacher can use music to enrich English lessons, using familiar songs as well as songs from the English is Fun CDs.

Reading is Fun
Young Israeli pupils learning to read English must master a new alphabet, sounds that don't exist in their native language and letters used as vowels, and do it all in the opposite direction. In this workshop we'll make it fun and simple with phonetic-based games, chants and songs.

English is Fun on the Stage
Even very young children can get up on stage and sing a song or say a few words in English, and it really builds their confidence. We'll take a familiar story, add some songs and some humor, and turn it into a show than can be presented in elementary school.
Be Healthy in English
This year's official topic is "Lead a Healthy Lifestyle". Learn and participate in games, songs and other activities which you can use to bring the topic into your classroom, as part of an English day, or to add English to your school's health-related activities. Be ready to move.
